Welcome to Etalelepo Adventure Safaris in Namibia.
Namibia – with its enormous herds of wildlife, its myriad varieties of fauna and flora, and its shimmering vistas of vast lands is truly a rewarding and fascinating place.
Having had the privilege of growing up on a Namibian farm and learning conservation hunting from a very young age, I developed a passion and deep respect for the animals and plants of my country and continued to study nature conservation at university level.
Today, after many years in the field as a hunter and a conservationist I am excited to share the genuine Namibian outdoor adventure with you – ETALELEPO!
Etalelepo is the Owambo word for adventure.
So, an adventure it will be.
Prepare to rough it a bit. No sleeping in the mural surroundings of a lodge, my friend, with running water out of a tap! – We sleep under the skies watching the milky way in all its glory wandering from east to west, listening to the plaintive cry of the jackal and the keckle of the francolins at the first hint of light on the eastern horizon. Then we get up and have the best of coffees one can wish for – the early morning coffee. No lingering too long, though, we go hunting before it gets too hot.
We stalk and hunt attentively following the wily wildlife in their tracks. In the heat of the day, we rest in the shade of a tree shooing away pesky flies and sipping contentedly from our water bottles, relaxed and thankful for being in nature. When our hunt is successful, we humbly and appreciatively prepare the game on the fire at night and enjoy every delicious morsel of it. Then one or two beers will not come amiss, no?
